Meet Dr. Saxon
Education and Training
Dr. Saxon graduated from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. After completion of his dental training, Dr. Saxon completed his specialty training in Periodontics, and earned a Masters Degree in Oral Biology at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. He is certified to provide IV conscious sedation by the Oklahoma State Board of Dental Examiners and is trained in advanced cardiac life support.
Board Certification:
Dr. Saxon is a Board Certified Periodontist with the American Board of Periodontology.
Professional contributions:
Dr. Saxon’s awards and honors include being the Champion of the John F. Prichard Graduate Research Competition for his research on novel bone grafting techniques. He has published research in international journals on topics ranging from bone grafting to diabetes and periodontitis. He earned the UMKC School of Dentistry Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics and Periodontics while in dental school.
Professional memberships:
Dr. Saxon holds memberships in the American Academy of Periodontology, The Southwest Society of Periodontists, Oklahoma Dental Association, The American Dental Association, The Tulsa County Dental Society and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Saxon enjoys reading, playing soccer, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Cameron and daughter, Sloan.
