Periolase MVP-7 Dental Laser

When it comes to technology and periodontal treatment and dental implants, Dr. Wong’s office is second to none. Our office is proud of the technology we have available to our patients, and our patients are reaping the benefits. Over the past 5 years, we have invested in digital x-rays, CT Scan software, Platelet Rich Plasma, and the Periolase MVP-7 periodontal surgical laser. These pieces of technology are making headwaves in dentistry; in fact, our CT Scan software was featured in Health Watch on Fox News in July 2005.

Virtual Implant Placement (VIP) software is a unique dental implant program that allows Dr. Wong to perform virtual implant surgeries on our patients…before their actual surgery time. Using CT scans of our patients, we simply do the implant surgery on them in the computer. This way, we can antcipate any potential problems or complications before they occur. This leads to quicker, more predictable surgery with fewer complications and unforeseen expenses to our patients. For our existing patients, our office does not charge for Virtual Implant Placement, and most medical insurances cover the expense of CT scans at 100%. For your convenience, we work with St. Francis Imaging Center. For more information about this wonderful program, please visit the website at

Our Periolase MVP-7 dental laser is an alternative way for patients to receive treatment for periodontal disease and bone loss.. Laser surgery is a great option for patients who have aversions to traditional scalpel surgery. It boasts of quicker recovery times and is great for patients with recurrent periodontal disease. Although not for everyone, it may be indicated for people with medically compromised conditions such as bleeding disorders. Dr. Wong’s surgical experience is used in combination with the technology of the laser to help patients achieve the oral health they desire. For more information about our laser visit the website at

Platelelet rich plasma (PRP) is a wonderful way of helping our patients heal after surgery. By taking only a 1.5 oz sample of blood, our Harvest SmartPrep 2 machine will concentrate the platelets in the blood sample which can then be placed over the surgical areas after surgery to take advantage of our patients’ natural growth and wound healing factors. Clinical data has shown that these growth and healing factors may enhance and accelerate our patients’ normal healing process by up to 70%. PRP has been used for over a decade now, mainly by specialists in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Plastic Surgery, and ENT. We recommend PRP for any patients undergoing major bone grafting or soft tissue grafting procedures. For more information about Platelet Rich Plasma, please visit
